Grooming for men?

Gone are the days when grooming was purely a she-thing. Grooming for men is now a very popular idea that is well accepted worldwide. Appearances are everything these days, and grooming helps you score points, regardless of whether you are in a social or professional setting.

While a large part of the older male population still prefer to go for the rugged, natural look, the younger generation has discovered the appeal of personal grooming to look ‘cool’. Many men today use products such as facial scrubs or masks, face creams and moisturizers, under eye gels/creams, lip balms/serums, oil control lotions & shine reduction powders, styling waxes/gels and such like. Many Indian men have also started getting manicures, pedicures and facials. In fact, jut like their counterparts in the west and the far east, older Indian men are also starting to use several anti-aging products.

Male grooming is a matter of personal preference. For the younger generation, being well groomed makes them feel more attractive to women. After all, arranged marriages are fast becoming history in our country and if a man has to find his own life partner, he has to be appealing and attractive to the fairer sex.

There are several reputed brands that have put several male grooming products out in the market and such products have become a rage with the youth. Plenty of salons that cater to the grooming needs of men have opened up the world over.

Grooming is a trend that is now catching on very fast with the male population. After all, everyone (regardless of whether they are male or female) wants to look good.
